The Hario Cold Brew Coffee Jug is actually a modified version of its popular and affordable Mizudashi Cold Brew Coffee Pot. Like the Coffee Pot, it’s a purpose-built immersion cold brewer with a built-in filter basket which makes cold brew a snap. The main difference is that this Coffee Jug swaps out the plastic, silicone and resin parts of the Coffee Pot and replaces them with stainless steel. This means that you can get the same great-tasting results with more durability and less exposure to plastics.

To Use the Hario Cold Brew Coffee Jug, you simply put some grounds in the filter basket, submerge them in water for a time of your choosing (somewhere between 8 & 24 hours) and remove them quickly and easily when your extraction is finished. It can brew on the counter or sit in a refrigerator, and once you’ve removed the coffee, it also provides an ideal serving and storage container for your cold brew!

At ~1000ml capacity when filled with coffee grounds, you can get batches of ~800-900ml at a time. This means you can brew a few servings worth at a standard concentration, or increase your brew ratio to make concentrate that will stretch for quite a bit more.
